Species Extinction

Many causes of species extinction occurs due to the inability to adapt. When species are better able to adapt due to their genes, they have a better chance of surviving. One group of animals that especially struggle in adaption are insects. Insects have very little ability to adapt due to their genes. This is a problem especially for insects in intense climates such as tropic areas or areas with heavy winters where there is drastic change in weather. Many professors are dedicating their studies towards this such as Ary Hoffmann from the University of Melbourne. She is especially studying insects in tropic areas. However, insects are not the only group of animals who are being effected. Mammals and fish are also fearing change as well.
