Komodo Dragon
Komodo Dragon
A strange trait has evolved recently in komodo dragons. Komodo dragons have adapted their mouth in order to carry a lethal variety of bacteria. This symbiotic relationship is beneficial to both the lizard and the bacteria. The komodo dragon uses these bacteria as a means to disable prey, one bite will infect the prey so that the lizard must merely wait for it to die. The bacteria also enjoy the safety of the dragon's mouth which also serves as an ideal breeding ground. What first might have killed off many komodos now is one of their most potent weapons due to evolution. These viruses and bacteria most likely evolved along side the komodo both benefiting off of each other.
